Our History
Establishment
ANRPC was established in 1970 with the participation of seven countries (Ceylon, Indonesia, Liberia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam), representing over 90% of global natural rubber production, to address common challenges faced by natural rubber producing nations. The association was officially inaugurated in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with the then Prime Minister delivering the inaugural address and the Secretariat. Mr. Jamil bin Mohd Jan of Malaysia was appointed to the post of Secretary-General ad interim.
